Free Online Texture Packer for Unreal Engine and Unity
2 hours ago
When working with game assets and PBR materials, packing multiple grayscale textures into a single RGBA texture is a common optimization technique. Instead of storing several separate textures, you can combine them into the Red, Green, Blue, and Alpha channels of a single image, reducing texture count and improving efficiency.
To make this process easier, we created a free online RGBA Texture Packer that runs entirely in your browser. No installation, registration, or uploads are required.
Pack Any Grayscale Maps into RGBA Channels
The tool allows you to assign any grayscale texture to the Red, Green, Blue, or Alpha channel.
Common examples include:
- Roughness
- Metallic
- Ambient Occlusion
- Height
- Masks
- Opacity
- Custom data maps
Since every workflow is different, the channels are fully customizable.
Automatic Channel Assignment
The RGBA Texture Packer can automatically detect texture types from filenames and place them into the appropriate channel slots.
Simply drag and drop your textures and the tool will organize them automatically, saving time when working with large material libraries.
ZIP File Support
Many texture sets contain multiple maps packaged in ZIP archives.
The RGBA Texture Packer supports ZIP files directly. Upload a ZIP archive and the tool can:
- Extract texture maps automatically
- Pack selected maps into a single RGBA texture
- Export a new ZIP archive
- Preserve all other files unchanged
This makes batch processing texture libraries much faster.
Runs Entirely in Your Browser
All processing happens locally on your device.
Your images are never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server. Everything is generated directly in your browser, making the tool both fast and privacy-friendly.
More Free Tools, Textures and 3D Models
